Our Pastor - Leo Mejia

Pastor Leo was born in Los Angeles and spent a few years living with his grandmother in Peru. Raised primarily in a single parent home with constant changes taking place around him. At the age of 11, his family accepted the invitation of a friend to attend a church service where Leo heard the Bible. During that time, Leo explains he finally found a place that was stable, that proclaimed truth and faithfully ministered the gospel.
After attending this church for 4 years, having heard the Gospel many times, Leo finally made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. 
Pastor Leo preached his first message at the end of that year at 16 years of age and attended Bible college in 2002 in order to help train for the ministry. During seminary, Leo became the Pastor of a church in South Alabama and served the people there for 9 years.
In 2016, the Mejia family followed God's leading to move to Indianapolis and become the Pastor of Charity Baptist Church.  Pastor Mejia and his family work together to further the mission of Charity Baptist, spreading the Gospel throughout the Indianapolis area and the world.
