Doctrinal Statement
We believe in salvation by grace through faith, through Jesus Christ; that salvation is the free gift of God, not earned by any works of men (church attendance, baptism, etc.), but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting entirely that His death, burial and resurrection from the grave is needed for full salvation; that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that it is the personal duty of every individual to accept salvation by faith alone by calling on the Lord to save us; and that nothing prevents the salvation of any sinner except his own sinfulness; that all true believers possess the gift of eternal life, a perfect righteousness, sonship in the family of God, and the divine guarantee that they shall never perish.
[Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13]
We believe in the Holy Scriptures, accepting fully the writings of the Old and New Testaments as the very Word of God, given by verbal inspiration and preserved in all parts unto all generations, an infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice. We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the word of God, preserved without error for the English-speaking people.
[Psalm 12:6-7, Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35, 1 Peter 1:23]
We believe that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in Him is eternal justification; that justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life; that it is given, not in consideration of any good works which we have done, but solely through faith in Jesus; that by means of such faith His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God. This gift is eternal and will never be taken away. We believe in eternal security for anyone who has been saved.
[John 1:16, Acts 13:39, John 5:24, John 10:27-29, Ephesians 1:13]
We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God; an infinite, intelligent, perfect Spirit and personal Being, the Creator, Preserver, and Supreme Ruler of the Universe; that He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and all other perfections, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead, eternally existent, there are three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that these three are equal in every Divine perfection and execute distinct, but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption [John 4:24, Exodus 15:11, Mark 12:30, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30,Ephesians 2:18, Genesis 1:26-27, John 1:1-3, John 8:16-16, Colossians 2:9, 1 John 5:7]
We believe in the Deity of our Savior Jesus Christ, Who pre-existed; His Virgin Birth, where he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, freely took upon Himself human nature, yet without sin; honored the Divine law by His perfect obedience; His blood shed for atonement for our sins; His bodily resurrection; His bodily ascension into Heaven to be our Intercessor, where He is now enthroned in Heaven, to reign in eternal sovereignty; and that He is in every way qualified to be a suitable and all-sufficient Savior [John 8:58, Philippians 2:6, Hebrews 5:8-9, Isaiah 53:3-4, 1 Corinthians 15, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 1:8, 1 John 5:20 ]
We believe that Jesus is soon coming again. We believe that the return of Christ is a literal bodily return of our Redeemer that will include multiple events, namely: The Pre-tribulational Rapture of His Church, the fulfillment of the 70th week (as some call it the 7-year tribulation) where God will judge the earth which culminates at the Battle of Armageddon when Christ personally and visibly returns with His saints to establish His earthly Kingdom. [I Thess. 1:9-10; I Thess. 4:16-17; Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-11; Rev. 3:10; 19; 16:15; 19:11; 20:1-6
We are a Baptist Church, meaning:
Biblical Authority: We embrace the Scriptures as our final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
Autonomy of the Local Church: We believe that the local church should be a self-governing congregation.
Priesthood of the Believer: We believe that each Christian has equal access to the Father through the person and work of Christ alone.
Two Ordinances: We believe that Christ commanded the local church to observe two ordinances: the Lord's Table, and Believer's Baptism by immersion.
Individual Soul Liberty: We believe that each Christian is directly accountable to God. Therefore, we all must relate to one another in grace, humility, Christian love, and good conscience as we submit to Christ's Lordship in debatable matters.
Separation of Church and State: We believe that the Church should be independent of all government interference in matters of faith, practice, and conscience and that we should be separate from worldly entanglements, both individually and corporately.
Two Offices: We believe that there are two offices in the church: Pastors and Deacons.
Security of the Believer: We believe that God keeps eternally those whom He justifies by grace alone through faith alone in the finished work of Christ.
